I NEED HELP!
For any of those who like bugs and have alot around unlike me in Vegas :/
I would love for you to send me them so I can incase them in resin and make them into jewelry!
Awesome right?!
If you send me bugs, I will make you a piece with some of the bugs you've sent me :)
They can be bees, spiders, etc, as long as they're small :)
Nothing too big!

And bones too!
Got some little animal bones, maybe baby teeth? or just your teeth?!

If interested please NOTE me :)

Any amount is  very helpful!

I could do this if I get any of the next week or so. As far as bones, that one is always a little harder. The easiest ones tend to be frogs or lizards around that have died and then ended up drying out or something along those lines. I'm not familiar with that portion really.

I may have a baby tooth I could send if that interests you?

I was thinking the same thing!
maybe put a bug in little jewelry boxes taped up.
And then ship them.

ah i see; that's understandable; how much would it be if it was like a bit of a Larger sized Hissing Cockroach? *feels weird for wishing for cockroach jewelry*

Um Well I don't really have a mold big enough for that yet.
If its like 3-4 inches big. I'd have to get a custom sized mold.
It would be $25.00 for it.

ah i see; that's actually quite a reasonable price. :la: although the one i would send would probably be only an inch and a half; maybe two inches lol

as as long as is dead im okay with it lol.
It might be easier to recieve the bug first or something and then try and find a mold for it :p

Ohhhhh so awesome! I did that last summer but it was a nightmare trying to keep bubbles out from around the bugs, I'm sure you have a better method than me and good ideas for what to use them for, all I could think of was putting them in peoples drinks and staring at them haha.

I scooped mine out of a pool at a gite we stayed at in France, dried them out on the patio then dunked them in nail polish remover to get rid of grime. There were some really crazy cool ones! I wish I could send you some badass British bugs but I don't think customs would be too happy with me. :aww: Good luck!

I actually havent even thought of the bubbles. I seen them with bubbles and it didnt really bother me. I like how the bubbles look. But I'd love to make them into jewelry. I know my mum would love a spider one.

That sucks with customs :/
Don't know how that works with bugs and stuff but that would be awesome.
Damn vegas doesnt have nothing :(

Some of the bubbles on my bugs were annoying because they blocked out nice details, but some that got caught under the wing shell thingers looked really beautiful. I was casting some eyes today and accidentally discovered that passing a heat gun over the resin a few times makes the resin thin enough to let bubbles rise to the surface and break, which was great! I'm pretty sure I'm running a high risk of them bursting into flames but... 14mm cabochons ain't gonna burn down the studio I guess

Come to think of it if I marked it as a gift they might not care? My Gran used to send me dried snakes from France all the time.. Well if I come across any dead bugs I'll collect them up for you :)

yeah! Ive totally done that when i got side tracked and the resin was getting to tough for me so i used my hair dryer like right over them lol.
I was scared of them bursting into flames too but they didnt thankfully.

Thanks so much for keeping an eye out for the bugs.
Im deathly scared of live ones, but this dead bug thing isnt so bad :p

I tried it with matches and it did go on fire so I kind of ignored the advice for a long time, my heat gun is new and opened up a world of possibilities. :D Never thought about a hair dryer! durrr..

I love live and dead bugs ^_^ Aw my friends at uni used to collect them for me for the same reason you're collecting them! But like I said I had no idea what to do with them after I cast a load. ugh wish I'd kept some but tiny dead bugs are so fragile? But yep I'll keep you updated :)
